A long time ago, a good friend told me about spending several weeks in Neot Smadar. Among other things, he was milking sheep. One morning, he noticed that if they organized the sheep in a line, the milking process could be much more efficient. He suggested it. The response was: “Yeah, but there’s more to life than efficiency optimization.”
The web started with static HTML files. Then everything became dynamic: blogs, CMSs, databases, backends. Now static is interesting again. For a lot of content, it’s faster, cheaper, simpler, and more secure. I’m writing this in a local WordPress installation, then exporting it as static HTML. After all that progress, I’m basically back to serving files.

Jira and Gerrit integrate with several tools. It took us a while to find a balance we like – so I decided to share our experience.
